Core Concepts
AImetier is easiest to understand if you think in business terms, not technical ones. These are the concepts you will see across the Portal.
Company
Section titled “Company”Your company is the workspace where your people, digital employees, knowledge, tasks, approvals, and billing live.
During setup, AImetier asks for your company name, priorities, and optional links so your teammates start with useful context. You can update this later from Settings.
Digital employees
Section titled “Digital employees”A digital employee is an AI teammate you hire into a role. You may see the word “agent” in a few places, but the idea is simple: each teammate has a job, instructions, tools, knowledge, and guardrails.
Examples:
- A sales teammate drafts outreach and updates leads.
- A marketing teammate prepares posts, emails, and campaign ideas.
- An operations teammate turns requests into tasks and follow-ups.
- A reviewer checks work before it is marked done.
Chat is where you talk to a teammate in natural language. Use it for quick asks, clarifying questions, drafts, and early exploration.
Good chats are specific:
- “Draft a polite follow-up for this customer and keep it under 120 words.”
- “Read this PDF and list the missing information.”
- “Prepare three options, then recommend one.”
Tasks and projects
Section titled “Tasks and projects”Tasks turn work into something trackable. Use a task when the work has an owner, status, review step, or deadline.
Projects group related tasks together, such as a campaign, onboarding flow, customer research sprint, or monthly reporting cycle.
Knowledge, memory, and skills
Section titled “Knowledge, memory, and skills”AImetier gives teammates context in three different ways:
- Business knowledge — files and facts you provide, such as offers, policies, customer notes, and brand guidelines.
- Memory — useful things a teammate learns from previous work.
- Skills — repeatable instructions for how to do a specific kind of work.
Use knowledge for facts, memory for learned preferences, and skills for repeatable procedures.
Approvals
Section titled “Approvals”An approval is a checkpoint where AImetier pauses and waits for a human decision. Approvals are especially important before outbound actions, sensitive changes, or final delivery.
You can approve, edit, reject, or ask for changes. The default trust promise is: nothing gets sent without your OK.
Tools and connectors
Section titled “Tools and connectors”Tools are built-in capabilities a teammate can use, such as reading a document, searching the web, or creating content.
Connectors link AImetier to accounts you already use, such as email, calendar, files, chat, or CRM tools. You choose what is connected and which permissions are allowed.
Costs and plans
Section titled “Costs and plans”AImetier uses plans and credits so you can see how much work your team is doing. The Billing page shows your current plan, usage, starter credits, payment method, invoices, and estimates before larger runs.
