Personalization

Set how AImetier looks and reads for you — pick English or French, set your timezone, and tell your teammates your company name and website. This page is a quick reference to every field you’ll find under Settings > Personalization.

In the Portal, open Settings, then choose the Personalization tile (“Company domain and preferences”). You’ll land on a simple form with a back arrow to return to Settings at any time.

Settings > Personalization — a short form for language, timezone, and your company details.

The form, top to bottom:

  1. Company name — your business’s name.
  2. Company website — your domain, like yourcompany.com.
  3. Timezone — for scheduling and timestamps.
  4. Language — English or French (and a few more).
  5. Save — applies everything above.
Company name

Your business’s display name. Type it in plain text — for example Rénovation Dupont or Cabinet Martin. Saving updates how your workspace and your account are labelled.

Company website

Your domain, like yourcompany.com. This is optional. The Portal uses it to help your teammates learn a little about your industry, so their work fits your business better. Leave it blank if you’d rather not share it.

Timezone

Pick the timezone you work in — for example Europe/Paris. This keeps dates, times, and any scheduled work lined up with your day. Choose from the list; the default is UTC until you set it.

Language

Choose English or French (Spanish, German, and Japanese are also offered). Two things happen:

  • The whole Portal switches to that language immediately — you’ll see the change as soon as you pick it.
  • Your teammates start drafting their work in that language too, so an email or a post comes back ready to use.

In French, the Portal uses vous throughout, with examples built around French businesses like rénovation, expert-comptable, and immobilier.

A quick but important point: most settings here are shared across your whole workspace, not just your own screen. Your company name, website, timezone, and the drafting language apply to everyone using this workspace and to your teammates’ work. Your display name is the one piece tied to your own account. If you only want to change what you see, the Language switch is the safe one — flip it, and the Portal re-reads in your chosen language on the spot.

There isn’t a separate theme or dark mode switch on this page right now. If your screen looks light or dark, that follows your device’s own appearance setting. We’ll add an in-Portal appearance control here when it’s ready — for now, Personalization covers language, timezone, and your company details.

If you do use it, enter a GitHub username or organization name (letters, numbers, and hyphens). It has its own Save GitHub owner button, separate from the main Save. The form tells you if the name isn’t valid before it saves.

  1. Language didn’t stick after a refresh? You changed it but didn’t press Save — the switch is instant, but Save is what keeps it. Pick the language again and press Save.
  2. “Save” shows an error? Check your connection and try again — your earlier choices stay in the form, so you won’t lose them.
  3. The GitHub owner won’t save? The name must be a valid GitHub username or organization (letters, numbers, and hyphens, no leading or trailing hyphen). Fix it to match the hint and press Save GitHub owner.
  4. Don’t see a dark-mode switch? That’s expected — appearance follows your device for now (see the note above).

Still stuck? See Getting help.

If I switch to French, will my teammates write in French too?

Yes. The Language setting changes both the Portal’s language and the language your teammates draft their work in, so an email or post comes back ready in your chosen language.

Is this just for me, or for everyone in my workspace?

Most of it is workspace-wide — your company name, website, timezone, and the drafting language apply across the workspace. Your display name is tied to your own account.

Do I have to enter my company website?

No, it’s optional. It only helps your teammates understand your industry a little better. Leave it blank if you prefer.

Is there a dark mode?

Not as a switch on this page today. Your screen follows your device’s light or dark setting. We’ll add an appearance control here when it’s ready.

What's the 'Default GitHub owner' field for?

It’s an advanced setting only relevant if your teammates connect code projects on GitHub. If you’re not doing that, you can safely ignore it.
