The Virtual Office

The Virtual Office is a fun, optional way to see your whole company at a glance — a living 3D floor where your teammates appear as a real team and you can tell who’s busy and who’s free in a single look.

Open the Virtual Office

From the sidebar, open Virtual Office. After a moment, the 3D floor loads and your teammates appear in their spots, grouped by department.

*Your company as a living 3D floor — each teammate in their place.*

Look around the floor

Move around to explore — pan to shift your view and zoom to get closer. Departments sit in their own areas, so the people who work together appear together.

*Pan and zoom to move around your office and find a teammate.*

Read who's busy at a glance

Each teammate shows their status right where they stand. A teammate who’s working now stands out with a gentle glow and movement; a teammate who’s idle looks calm and still; a paused teammate looks dimmed. That’s the whole point of the office — a one-look answer to “who’s on it right now?”

*A glowing, moving teammate is working; a still one is free; a dimmed one is paused.*

Click a teammate to open their profile

Click any teammate on the floor to jump straight to their full profile — the same page you’d reach by clicking their name anywhere else. From there you can chat with them, see what they’re working on, and adjust how they work.

*Click a teammate to open their profile and pick up the conversation.*

The Virtual Office floor has a few simple parts:

  1. The floor and its rooms — your company laid out by department, so teammates who work together are grouped together.
  2. Your teammates — one figure per digital employee, each showing their live status.
  3. The status look — glowing and moving means working now; calm and still means idle; dimmed means paused.
  4. Pan and zoom — move your view around the floor and get closer to any corner.

Whatever a teammate is doing on the floor, your teammates still check each other’s work before calling it done, and nothing leaves your workspace without you. Ask before sending is ON; nothing goes out without your OK.

If the office looks blank, dark, or stuck, check these first:

  1. Still loading — the 3D floor takes a moment to appear on first open; give it a few seconds.
  2. A blank or dark panel — your device or browser may not support the 3D view; try a normal desktop browser, or use the lists instead.
  3. Everyone looks idle — it may simply be a quiet moment with no one working; open the Tasks board to confirm what’s in progress.
  4. A teammate is dimmed — that teammate is paused; open their profile to resume them.
  5. Nothing moves when you pan or zoom — reload the page, then try again.

Still stuck? See Getting help.

Do I have to use the Virtual Office?

No. It’s an optional, playful way to see your company. Everything it shows — your teammates and their live statuses — is also available in the normal lists, in Chat, and on the Tasks board.

What do the different looks mean?

A teammate that glows and moves is working right now. A calm, still teammate is idle and free. A dimmed teammate is paused. It’s the same status you’d see next to their name in a list, shown visually.

Can I give a teammate work from the office?

Click the teammate to open their profile, then chat with them or hand them a task from there. The office is for seeing what’s happening; the work itself happens in Chat and on the Tasks board.

The office looks blank or very slow — is something broken?

Usually not. The 3D view needs a capable browser on a regular computer. On older or limited devices it may show blank or run slowly. Your company is fine — just use the lists and the Tasks board, which show the same teammates and statuses.

Does the Virtual Office send anything or change anything?

No. It’s a view only. Nothing is sent and nothing changes from looking at the office. Ask before sending is ON by default, and you always give the final OK.
