Library and files

Open the Library to find everything your teammates have created — drafts, images, slides, reports — and use Files to see the documents pulled in from the services you’ve connected.

Three places, three different jobs — here’s the one-line difference so you always know where to look.

Library

What your teammates produced — the drafts, images, and reports they made while working.

Files

Documents synced in from your connected services — each with a per-service sync status.

Business knowledge

Documents you upload for teammates to read about your business. See Business knowledge.

The Library is your team’s portfolio: everything your teammates have created, in one place.

Open the Library

In the side menu, choose Library. You’ll see a card for each item — a real preview thumbnail, the item’s name, the teammate who made it, and the date.

The Library — a card for each thing your teammates have created.

Narrow it down

Type in the search box to filter by name, or use the dropdowns to filter by type (images, slides, documents, tables, and more), by source (from a chat or from a task), and to sort by newest, oldest, or name. Switch between grid and list view with the buttons at the top right.

Search, plus filters for type and source, and a grid/list switch.

Open an item to preview it

Click any card to open it full-screen. You’ll see the item itself, who created it, when, and a link back to the chat or task it came from — so you can always trace a piece of work to its origin.

When you connect a service (your Connectors), the work your teammates finish can be synced out to it — and the Files page is where you watch that happen. Each file shows its category, size, when it was produced, and a sync status badge for every service it’s headed to.

Sync status What it means
Synced The file made it to the connected service. Use the menu to Open in that service.
Pending It’s on its way. The page refreshes on its own, so the badge updates without a reload.
Failed It didn’t go through. Open the menu and choose Retry sync.
Opted out You chose not to send this one to that service. You can still Retry later.
The Files list — each file with a sync-status badge per connected service.

A teammate’s work shows up here only after it’s done — and your teammates check each other’s work before calling it done, so what lands in the Library has already been reviewed.

Ask before sending is ON; nothing goes out without your OK.

If the Library or Files looks empty or out of date, walk these in order:

  1. The Library is empty. Your teammates haven’t produced anything yet. Start a chat or a task and ask for a draft — it’ll appear here once it’s made.
  2. You can’t find a recent item. Clear the search box and set every filter back to All. Check the Show Archived toggle in case it was tidied away.
  3. A file is stuck on “Pending.” Give it a moment — the page refreshes itself. If it flips to Failed, open the menu and choose Retry sync.
  4. A file shows “Failed.” The connected service may have lost its connection. Retry from the menu; if it keeps failing, re-check that service under Connectors.
  5. The Files page is empty. You may not have connected any service yet, or none of your finished work is set to sync. Both are normal.

Still stuck? Head to Getting help and we’ll sort it out.

What's the difference between the Library and Files?

The Library holds what your teammates produce (drafts, images, reports). Files lists documents synced in from the services you’ve connected, with a sync status for each. They’re separate lists for separate jobs.

How is this different from Business knowledge?

Business knowledge is for documents you upload so teammates understand your business — you organize them and control who reads each folder. The Library and Files show work that’s been produced or synced, not files you add for reference. See Business knowledge.

Can I download something from the Library?

Yes. Open any item to preview it full-screen, then save it. Each item also links back to the chat or task it came from.

Why does a file say 'Pending' for so long?

It’s still on its way to the connected service. The page updates on its own — no need to reload. If it turns to Failed, use Retry sync from the menu.

Can I stop a file from being sent to a connected service?

Yes. Open the file’s menu and choose Don’t sync to that service. You can always retry later if you change your mind.
