FAQ

The questions people ask most often, answered in plain words. Each answer is short, and links to the page with the full story.

What is AImetier, in one sentence?

It’s a place to hire AI teammates — digital employees you can ask to do real work, like drafting emails, preparing posts, or researching something. You ask in plain words; they do the work and check it with each other before bringing it to you. See Agents as employees.

How do I get started?

Tell us about your work in a sentence or two, pick a teammate, and ask for your first piece of work. The whole setup takes about a minute. Walkthrough: Onboarding in 90 seconds.

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No. No card. No connecting your email. Nothing gets sent without your OK. You can do real work before deciding anything about billing.

Can I just ask a teammate how to use the Portal?

Yes — and it’s often the fastest way. Open a Chat and ask in your own words, like “How do I add a document?”. For more, see Getting help.

Will it email my customers without asking me?

No. Ask before sending is ON by default, so any outbound message — an email, a social post, a booking — waits for your approval first. Nothing goes out without your OK. See Trust and safety.

Where do I find the things waiting for my approval?

They collect in one place: Needs attention (À traiter) — your single list of “is anything waiting on me?”. For each item you simply Approve or Decline. See Approvals.

What happens when I ask a teammate to 'send' something?

The asking and the sending are two separate steps. Asking produces a draft for you to review; the send only happens after you give the final OK. So you can ask freely — nothing fires off behind your back. See Chatting with your teammates.

Can I turn off the ask-before-sending step?

Connecting an outside tool so things can send is an optional, advanced step — most people get plenty done without it, and even then the same rule holds: Ask before sending is ON; nothing goes out without your OK. If you’re just starting, you don’t need to connect anything.

Do I need to connect my email or other accounts?

No. You can get real work done without connecting anything. Connecting a tool — a Connecteur (Connector) — is an optional step you choose later, and even then sends still wait for your OK. See Connecteurs (Connectors).

Is my business information used for anything I didn't agree to?

The documents and conversations you share belong to you and are there to help your teammates work for you. Anything that would leave your workspace goes through the same approval step as everything else. See Trust and safety.

How do my teammates know about my business?

From what you choose to share with them — the documents and notes you add to their Knowledge (Connaissances). Adding something is always your choice, and you can manage what’s there. See Library and files.

Will I get charged for asking my teammates to do work?

There’s no card needed to start, and asking your teammates to do work or reviewing their drafts doesn’t cost you anything to begin. There’s nothing on file that gets charged for a question.

How do I know the work is any good?

Your teammates check each other’s work before calling it done, so what reaches you for approval has usually already had a second pair of eyes. You still give the final OK. See How work flows.

Can it forget what I told it?

Your teammates remember what you share and what helps them work for you, and you stay in charge of it — you can update or remove a document in their Knowledge (Connaissances) whenever you like. See Memories.

Can I have more than one teammate?

Yes. You can start with one and build a small team where each teammate has a job and they review each other’s work. See Managing your roster.

What's the difference between a Chat and a Task?

A Chat (Conversation) is for casual back-and-forth, like asking a quick question. A Task (Tâche) is structured work you want to track to completion. You can promote a chat into a task when it’s worth tracking. See Chats, tasks, and projects.

You can ask your teammates anything — nothing happens behind your back. Ask before sending is ON; nothing goes out without your OK, and your teammates check each other’s work before calling it done. For the full picture, see Trust and safety.

My question isn't here — what now?

Two quick routes: ask a teammate in Chat in plain words, or open Getting help for the fastest path to an answer.

I don't understand a word in the Portal.

The Glossary explains every term in plain language. You can also ask a teammate, like “What does Connecteurs mean?”.

Something isn't working.
